Mr. Abakwue received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center, where he was a member of the National Mock Trial Team and served as an editor for the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal.

Before joining Daw & Ray, LLP, Mr. Abakwue served as a law clerk for the Harris County Civil District Courts, where he evaluated legal arguments, conducted research on complex civil issues, and assisted with proceedings across a broad range of litigation matters.

Mr. Abakwue is currently a member of the State Bar of Texas. His areas of concentration include civil litigation and insurance defense.
