Attorney Monica L. Valerio Ms. Valerio received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Austin. She obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law and was licensed to practice law in Texas in 2004.

While in law school, Ms. Valerio was the Master of Rituals for Delta Theta Phi. Before joining Daw & Ray, in January 2008, Ms. Valerio worked for a civil litigation firm in Beaumont, Texas handling all aspects of personal injury litigation including jury trials. Ms. Valerio also served as board of directors for the Jefferson County Young Lawyer’s Association in 2006. Ms. Valerio is currently a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court in the Eastern District of Texas.

Ms. Valerio’s areas of concentration include personal injury, premises liability, commercial liability, and first and third party insurance defense.

The State Bar of Texas, through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, does designate attorneys as board certified in various areas of law. Willie Ben Daw, III, James L. Ray, and C. Thomas Valentine are board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. No other attorneys associated with Daw & Ray are board certified in any field recognized by the State Bar of Texas.
