Laura G. Atha Ms. Atha received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Illinois. She obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston in 2005. She was also licensed to practice law in Texas that same year.

While in law school, Ms. Atha was law school mentor and research assistant. She worked in the Immigration Clinic and clerked for Reece Rondon at the 234th District Court in Harris County. Ms. Atha worked as a contract attorney until she joined Daw & Ray in 2007 as an associate. Ms. Atha is currently a member of the Houston Bar Association.

Ms. Atha’s areas of concentration include general civil litigation, insurance defense, personal injury and employment law.

The State Bar of Texas, through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, does designate attorneys as board certified in various areas of law. Willie Ben Daw, III, James L. Ray, and C. Thomas Valentine are board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. No other attorneys associated with Daw & Ray are board certified in any field recognized by the State Bar of Texas.
