Mr. Bell received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Langston University. He then attended the St. Mary’s University School of Law where he obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2006 and was licensed to practice in Texas in that same year.
Before joining Daw & Ray, LLP in June of 2008, Mr. Bell practiced as a prosecutor for the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office. During his time as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney, Mr. Bell practiced in both the intake and trial divisions where he prosecuted over 150 jury and bench trails, over 100 of those as a first chair attorney, involving a wide range of criminal offenses.
While in law school, Mr. Bell competed successfully in numerous national mock trial tournaments, most notably winning the Thurgood Marshall Regional Mock Trial Tournament, and advocating as a finalist in the prestigious National Mock Trial Competition. Based on his exceptional advocacy skills, Mr. Bell was selected as a member of the Order of Barristers, and was awarded the Outstanding Mock Trial Advocate Award in 2006. Since graduating from law school, Mr. Bell has supported the St. Mary’s University School of Law External Advocacy Program by continuing to coach, and assist with competition teams in 2007 and 2008.
