Ms. Cruz received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law and was licensed to practice in Texas in July 2008. She is also a Certified Mediator and admitted to practice before the United States District Court in the Southern District of Texas, Northern District of Texas, Western District of Texas, and Eastern District of Texas.

While in law school, she received awards such as the Dean Leadership Award, the St. Mary’s Marianist Leader in the Community Award, the Pro Bono Achievement Award, the SBA 3L Member of the Year Award, and a general Scholarship Award. She was also a recognized nominee for the Chief Justice Alma Lopez Women’s Leadership Award.

She is currently a member of the Texas Young Lawyers Association, State Bar of Texas Asian Pacific Interest Section, Houston Young Lawyers Association, Association of Women Attorneys, Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity, Delta Gamma Almuni Association, and is Vice President of Development of the Asian American Bar Association.

Ms. Cruz’s areas of concentration include general civil litigation, premises liability, commercial liability, insurance defense, and personal injury.
